As you know, we changed the DFA statutes at the 2025 General Assembly in January, so that we could open the association to new types of members. It is a great pleasure to be able to welcome a number of new faces to Danish Farmers Abroad. With their participation, our community will become even stronger and more dynamic, and we are sure that they will greatly benefit from the broad network we offer.
We say hello to the following: Avlscenter Gamborg v/ Svend Møller; Blue Harvest A/S v/ Jens Ohnemus; Høgeststad & Christinehof Forvaltning AB v/ Henrik Stampe Piper; Salsbjerggaard v/ Søren Madsen; Rubenlund Agro A/S v/ Ulrik Bremholm; Axios Group (Danubaia Farming) v/ Benedikt Foertig; E-Agronom OU v/ Kristjan Luha; Agrodron Sp.zo.o v/ Adam Wiesniewski and Tranbjerggaard v/ Jens Thomsen.
See more about the association in our welcome letter here.
Since the General meeting, the secretariat has been working on promoting the association to new potential members. This is a result of the change in the association's statutes, so that the membership is no longer limited to Danish farmers with activities outside the borders of Denmark.
Promotions take the form of a series of flyers, which briefly describe the association and its many activities to promote networking and training. We would like to encourage all our members and stakeholders to use these information sheets to inform all your colleagues and business contacts, so that we can make Danish Farmers Abroad's network even broader and stronger.
Find the Flyers at the DFA website.

As a consequence of the change in the statutes, which opens up a wider membership, the DFA board has chosen that the association's general communication will be in English to a greater extent.
This means that we have closed the Danish website – danishfarmersabroad.dk and will henceforth only use the English version – danishfarmersabroad.com – however, you can always have most documents on the website translated – by selecting the language – you do this at the top right of the screen.
The translation is done via an installed translation unit, so that fewer errors in the translation can occur, which can cause less inconvenience when reading. However, the simplification contributes to a better utilization of resources in the secretariat.
The catastrophic outbreak of Foot & Mouth Disease in Slovakia and Hungary, which also affected one of DFA's members in Slovakia – had consequences for the implementation of a number of EEG meetings. Participants from Slovakia and Hungary chose to cancel EEG meetings in the period after - other groups chose to cancel altogether. By 2 half of 2025 – the meeting activity seem to start again

DFA invites you to this year's recurring study trip, which this year goes to India. The trip will take place from October 25 to November 2 – that is a week earlier than predious years. The visiting country India has the world's largest population and is located in a climate belt that offers great opportunities for agricultural operations to feed the population.
Set the dates, and we will send out a preliminary program later this month with registration.

In collaboration with Ø-Vet, DFA is holding a seminar for the group of veterinarians employed by the association's member companies – this time in Denmark. The seminar focuses on weaning diarrhea and the topic will be covered, among other things, via herd visits at Kalundborg, as well as presentations from experts who make diagnoses via laboratory tests.

n collaboration with Danish Agro, Vilomix, DFA is holding a seminar for the group of feed mill managers and others who work with feed production. The seminar will be held in Denmark in Central Jutland and will include a visit to Danish Agro's factory in Galten, west of Aarhus.
The seminar is a great opportunity to gain new knowledge and network with managers within this field of work.

The Winter Conference in January 2025 in Vienna proved to attract many senior executives from DFA member companies, as well as company people – and was evaluated very well by those present. Therefore, DFA has chosen to hold the upcoming Winter Conference 2026 in Vienna.
The program will focus on Food Supply in a geopolitically unstable situation, as well as how a de-bureaucratization of the EU can ease administrative burdens for companies.
A preliminary program will be available in September – but reserve the two days now for a professional update and reunion with colleagues in the network.

On June 4, 11 mid-level Ukrainian pig managers gathered virtually for a short kick-off meeting for the new training course, which DFA offers in collaboration with Dalum Agricultural Academy. The training course is called: “Practical Management and Leadership Training Program” and Dalum Agricultural Academy is responsible for the practical implementation.
The Ukrainian team consists of managers from Goodvalley Ukraine, Agroeast, Danam Farm and Halychyna Zahid and the course is specially designed, so that the training can be followed by people with limited English skills. The course-manager is the Ukrainian Natalja Kharchenko, who is currently a consultant in Velas on Funen. The training formally starts at the end of September with a physical meeting at Dalum Agricultural Academy.
For more information about the program, contact Povl Nørgaard, DFA, +45 31720145 or Carsten Poulsen, Dalum Agricultural School, +45 27691709.
