𝗤 How did you and your company first get involved with DFA?
𝗔 I was involved in the founding process of Danish Farmers Abroad 20 years ago when Erik Jantzen became the association's first chairman. It was an exciting process to participate in the board's work
and to organize relevant events for the members.

𝗤 What part of the DFA activities have you participated in and how has it impacted your career?
𝗔 In the early years, when many companies started up, we were part of a country-based experienced group with a special interest in Romania. Our senior employees and Romanian partners have participated in several of the professional groups established by the association with different specialties. These included the economy group, pigs, veterinarians, and feed production.

𝗤 Can you share a pivotal moment in your professional journey that was influenced by your participation in a DFA activity?
𝗔 The 2 annual DFA events have always given me a lot of inspiration.

𝗤 What was your main challenge in 2023 within your DFA activity?
𝗔 Within the company, we have been affected twice by ASF. Biosecurity and the fear of being hit again are important issues.

𝗤 How do you envision the future of agriculture and what role do you see DFA playing?
𝗔 Agriculture will always be important in our society with a growing population. The CO2 debate and the green transition will fill an ever-increasing part of our future. New forms of production must be thought about, investments must be adapted to the new trends. I expect an important part of the production will be moved abroad from Denmark in the coming years. DFA must be at the forefront, aiming to inspire members to innovate and be active in this transition.

𝗤 Outside of work, what's a passion or hobby few people know about?
𝗔 I have just turned 70 years old and sold the majority stake in my company, so I'll be spending, a lot of time in the future exploring many amazing places around the world.

𝗤 If you could recommend a holiday destination to fellow members?
𝗔 Romania is a great place to spend your holidays. I prefer the mountainous areas near Brasov, but it's also great to stay in the Danube Delta, sail, and see the amazing birdlife.
